Add Friend On Facebook
You cannot simply include people to your friend checklist willy-nilly; they have to be Facebook participants and accept be added. (Searching For Individuals Who Typically aren't Facebook Members explains ways to welcome non-Facebook participants to join the website.) To invite a Facebook participant to be your buddy:
How To Add Friend On Facebook
1. Search for the individual you want to befriend (see Finding New Friends).
2. If your search returns the individual you're looking for, click the "Include as Pal" button you attend the right of the individual's profile photo. Conversely, click the individual's name or picture to read a bit more regarding her and then, at the top of the prospective buddy's profile page, click the "Add as Friend" switch. If you don't discover the person you're searching for, you could invite her to join Facebook (Finding People That Aren't Facebook Members).
NOTE: If you do not see the "Include as Friend" button, it's due to the fact that the person you're aiming to befriend has changed her privacy settings to obstruct friend requests.
While you're waiting to listen to back from your close friend, a "Good friend Asked for" button replaces the common "Include as Good friend" button alongside her name in your search results page, and when you see her profile, you see an "Awaiting friend confirmation" label next to her name. If your good friend accepts the relationship as well as responds either to the e-mail or the Facebook demand (Finding People Who Are Facebook Members), Facebook includes your name to her close friend list, and her name to your own. Facebook also sends you an Alert (see Personalizing Your Mini Feed) allowing you know that she confirmed the friendship.
